The symbol and logo, created for the purpose of producing
a new image of the Korea Forest Service in the 21st century, stand
for its attitude to serve people, as well as its future-oriented way
of managing forests. Green, blue, and yellow represent nature, the
sky, and humans, respectively, while coexistence of mountains and
forests, and human being implies the so-called "sky, earth, and
human being philosophy." The shapes of mountains and forests,
recognized as being amongst the most representative of the country
are represented by lines and forms of Korean style. |

The logo type, along with the symbol, is one of the elements necessary
for the formation of a new image of the Korea Forest Service, and
is produced for the purpose of specifying the official title of the
Korea Forest Service. Also, the logo type, since it was produced in
view of its accord with the symbol, is, in any event, not allowed
to be amended to be used. |
