Purpose of the Training Program
- In response to the growing interest in best practices of national reforestation and forest restoration in Korea, systematically modelize and develop a training program on reforestation and restoration technologies and policies
- Utilizes the developed training program to operate a training course aimed at stakeholders in developing countries, contributing to the global recognition of Korea in the field of forestry
Key Contents
Development of the Training Program
- Analyzes policies, technologies, and best practices related to forest restoration in Korea to develop an training curriculum
- Prioritizes initiatives in the field of restoration, such as erosion control and greening, leveraging the advantages of the Korea Association of Forest Envio-conservation Technology (KAFET)
Implementation of Invitational Training
- Theoretical lectures on major policies and related technologies in seed collection, cultivating seedlings, reforestation, and erosion control
- Conducts on-site visits to best practices of forest restoration, institutional visits, and practical training based on case studies
Operation of Training Program on Forest Restoration based on Korea's Experience in 2023
Duration: Tuesday, September 12th to Thursday, September 21st, 10 days / Arrival (until September 11th), Departure (from September 21st)
Invited Countries: Member Countries of the Asian Forest Cooperation Organization (AFoCO) and countries promoting forest cooperation
