Since then, KFS and MNE had close discussions about 10-year-plan of plantation projects, which has resulted in the MOU signed by both head delegates, Mr. Yoon Young-kyoon, Director General of Resources Policy Bureau, KFS and Mr. A. Enkhbat, Director General of Development and Strategic Planning Department, MNE, at the 4th meeting of Korea-Mongolia Forest Cooperative Committee.

This singing on MOU can attract international attention to desertification and dust and sandstorms in Mongolia and impacts of them on neighboring countries and also KFS can develop an outstanding afforestation model and recommend it at international level. Therefore, KFS can lead UNCCD and other related organizations to involve in projects of desertification prevention in Northeast Asia.
