- Signatories: Respective Ministers of the Korea Forest Service and the Forests, Range and Watershed Management Organization
- Objective: Enhancing afforestation, reforestation, forest protection, and sustainable forest management, watershed management, establishing multi-functional forests, and addressing disasters such as desertification, erosion, forest fires, pests, and diseases.

[History]
- July 2016: Hosted the East Asia Botanical Garden Network (EABGN) international symposium in Seoul, inviting Mr. Ziba Jamzad, the head of the National Botanical Garden of Iran.
- August 2016: Sent 10 issues of the Korea National Arboretum's English publications to Iran.
- July-November, 2016: Donated 500 pine seeds to the National Botanical Garden of Iran upon Iran‘s request.
- May 2017: Signed a Memorandum of Understanding between Korea National Arboretum and the Forests, Range, and Watershed Management Organization.
- 2017-2019: Invited two Iranian forestry civil servants to Korea for forestry training annually.
