International experts on harvesting were brought together in Kisarazu Cith, Chiba Prefecture, Japan. on 17-20 Nov. 2003, to discuss measure for low-impacts forest harvesting.

During the meeting organized by Japan Forestry Administration, participant recognized needs to develop National Codes of Practice for Forest Harvesting to reduce negative impacts from harvesting forests in unsustainable way.
