[History]
- During the President's visit to Cambodia in 2009, an MOU was signed regarding the provision of 200,000 hectares of forest land.
- 1st Forestry Cooperative Committee (2010): Participation of Korean companies in reforestation areas, cooperation in supporting forestry development projects.
- 2nd Forestry Cooperative Committee (2012): Establishment of a Forest Cooperation Center, collaboration on desert restoration, and conservation projects for forest biodiversity.
- 3rd Forestry Cooperative Committee (2014): Pilot project on REDD+, joint research in forestry science, cooperation in forestry investment.
*MOU on Climate Change Pilot Project Cooperation between Korea and Cambodia signed in December 2014.
- 4th Forestry Cooperative Committee (2016): Plantation investment cooperation and corporate support, establishment and operation of the Korea-Mekong Forest Cooperation Center, cooperation in Seed Vault seed conservation, and joint research in breeding.
*MOU on the Operation of the Korea-Mekong Basin Forest Cooperation Center signed in June 2016.
- 5th Forestry Cooperative Committee (2018): Plantation investment cooperation and corporate support, establishment and operation of the Korea-Mekong Forest Cooperation Center, cooperation in Seed Vault seed conservation, and joint research in breeding.
- 6th Forestry Cooperative Committee (2022): Sharing major policy trends of both forest agencies, the Korea-Cambodia REDD+ project, cooperation with the Korea-Mekong Forest Cooperation Center, new ODA projects, and the revision of the forestry cooperation MOU.
