Heated Discussion among the Forest Officials

The Korea Forest Service, in the morning of January 19, held a national forest officials'' meeting with some 100 attendees including the Director General of the Korea Forest Research Institute and the heads of other agencies under the Korea Forest Service, forest officers of cities and provinces, and the heads of regional forest cooperatives.


At this occasion, Chief Cho Yon-hwan of the Korea Forest Service said that "despite many difficulties with forest fire, pine wilt disease, and other adversities last year, it was a year that all foresters became one heart taking risks as opportunities." He further asked the foresters to "do the best in forest fire prevention, pine wilt disease control, and forest tending projects, this year as well."
