Launching of National Natural Recreation Forest Office

KFS launched the National Natural Recreation Forest Office on February 21 in Daejeon.

The new affiliate office was established last January 1 with 3 divisions including the Customer Service Division. Currently, there 59 staffs to comprehensively manage the 30 Recreation Forests nationwide(112,440ha) under the KFS management. The office provides reservation and other customer service for public convenience.

As the demand for recreation forest is increasing, the office is promoting additional establishment of recreation forests in 6 different locations and is planning to newly establish in 42 location in the future.

KFS mentioned that the recreation facility is growing more and more popular as a family-oriented vacation destination and people enjoying mountain sports such as mountain biking, skiing, and mountain climbing. The National Natural Recreation Forest Office was established to effectively manage the scattered recreation forests.
