On October 11, Korea Forest Service held the largest annual wood festival in Yeo-ui-do Park. Fun-filled activities like making wood furniture, handicrafts, and accessories were available at the festival.
This festival was held in coordination with Wood Cultural Forum and Green Cultural Fund. The festival was largely divided into Experience-Zone, Event-Zone, Music-Zone, Publicity-Zone, and Exhibit-Zone, where visitors can freely enjoy available programs.
At this event Korean and Japanese elementary students came together to make models of symbolic towers of both countries, the Namsan tower and Tokyo Tower.
Korea Forest Service expects that this event was a significant opportunities for the Korean public to experience various wood uses and naturally encourage wood-use in everyday lives. This will eventually revitalize wood use and wood industry.
