24.3 Billion won for Yangyang Restoration

On April 19, Gangwon-do announced that financial assistance of 24.3billion won from national expenses will be provided for Yangyang forest fire rehabilitation. National Emergency Management Agency initiated countermeasure meetings at the Central Disaster Relief Center to secure and restore agricultural facility, residence, etc. and provided 14.7 billion won for this purpose. 3 billion won were provided from local fund, 3.7 billion won from loan, 100 million won from local expenses, 2.8billion won from restoration fund of relevant sectors summing up to 24.3billion won.
The provincial office has requested assistance for the unsupported facilities and other insufficiencies to the relevant sectors. The proposals are currently under positive review. The province is concentrating all resources for early recovery and to relieve the inconveniences of the local residents.
The rehabilitation plan includes facility restoration of 163 residents, 10 barns, 19 greenhouses, and assistance for livestock feed, relief aid and food transportation, as well as Naksan-sa(temple) restoration.
Moreover, to stabilize the livelihood of the victims, such actions as local tax reduction and exemption, reduced interest for small-scale business, etc are taken.
