Beautiful forests of Mt. Chukryeong, covered with cypress trees... The cypress forest of over 250 ha is known as one of the country’s best. Mr. Lim Jong-guk who passed away in 1987 devoted his life in planting the forest. As a tribute to his contributions, a Forester Hall of Fame was dedicated to him.
On Nov. 23, family members of Mr. Lim and Chief Cho of Korea Forest Service along with Mr. Kim Heung-sik, the head of Jangseong County, Mr. Lee Seung-nam, the regional chief of Northern National Forest Office, and other foresters, held a tree burial service and placed the ashes of Mr. Lim under a tree.
