Long history of cooperation between ASEAN and the Republic of Korea (ROK) established since 1989 has proven that the mutual relationship is vital and significant. As the forestry sector plays a critical role in global warming and reducing carbon emissions, ASEAN-ROK cooperation has become all the more important.


As part of the efforts to foster new opportunities in forest cooperation with ASEAN, Korea Forest Service has organized the International Workshop on Forest Cooperation to share information on the accomplishments of the past cooperation activities as well as to seek for priority cooperation projects and demands of the ASEAN countries in forestry cooperation for the future.


Distringuished delegates from the ASEAN Member States are invited to share current issues in the forestry sector and areas that require international support.
