Chief Cho Yon-hwan of Korea Forest Service held the opening ceremony of the Green Festival titled "In the Arms of the Trees" to commemorate the 60th year of Arbor Day and to acknowledge the existence of the trees. The ceremony was held in front of the Sejong Center for Performing Arts on April 4. Korea Green Foundation and Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture were also in attendance.
