KFS held ''Healthy Mountaineering Culture Symposium''.






Mr. Kwang-soo Chung, Minister of the Korea Forest Service(KFS) held a symposium on healthy mountaineering culture with the aim of identifying the current mountaineering trends and designing advisable mountaineering culture and surroundings.






The symposium took place at the Korea Forest Research Institute on October 28, and was participated by distinguished representatives of academia, relevant organizations and mountaineering associations. Practical and interactive discussion was made on betterment measures, administration services and infrastructure for sound mountaineering, and achievable proposals were made as well.






A concerned official of the Korea Forest Service expressed that the most important and rewarding task is to provide the people with sound and safe surroundings for mountaineering and that this symposium aimed to establish the healthy mountaineering culture and to raise the awareness of forest value.
