The Korea Forest Service (KFS) and the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) jointly launched the Peace Forest Initiative (PFI) to promote sustainable peace through cross-border forest cooperation.
In September this year, the PFI International Forum will be held to enhance peace by revitalizing forest cooperation in border areas and regions affected by ethnic conflicts. The Forum will include discussions on the future direction of regional pilot projects and a signing ceremony. We warmly invite all those interested in advancing peace through forest cooperation to join us.
