The Global Forest Resources and Trade division of Korea Forest Service hosted the third focus group meeting on illegal logging and associated trade on July 22, at the auditorium of the Korea Forestry Promotion Institute in Mapo, Seoul.

The members of the focus group consisted of Korea Forestry Promotion Institute, Korea Forest Service, Korea Forest Research Institute and the related associations of timber industry.

Notably, Mr. Vincent Van den Berk, the head of EFI (European Forest Institute) East Asia office was invited to deliver his keynote speech on timber management policies and their instruction cases.

The meeting was concluded successfully, well received by audience sharing the  information on FLEGT (Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade).
