Korea-Russia Signs MOU on Forest Cooperation
On October 17, Chief Suh of Korea Forest Service and Chief Roshchupkin of the Federal Forest Agency of the Russian Federation signed the MOU on Cooperation in Forestry in presence of bothe Prime Minister Han and Prime Minister Fradcov.
The MOU contains overall cooperation in the field of forestry including forest protection against fire, harmful pests and diseases; forest monitoring and forest resources management using remote sensing; utilization of forest biomass; biodiversity conservation; fighting illegal logging and forest rehabilitation.
