Our attention and love can save pine trees.
Chief of the Korea Forest Service, Mr. Suh Seung-jin held an informal meeting on the 16th and 17th of March for countermeasures against pine wilt disease, giving words of encouragement to people concerned and looking about pine wilt disease-infested areas in Gijang, Busan.
Mr. Suh advised to apply various measures to preventative work, such as fumigation, incineration and cutting down the whole infested trees. He also requested to complete prevention of pine wilt disease by this coming April for no more spread of the disease and asked related organizations for their concerns and collaboration.
