On April 27, Mr. Suh Seung-jin, the Chief of Korea Forest Service along with some 100 forest officers held tree planting ceremony at Gaeseong. Around 1,000 seedlings of Korean pine and fir were planted near the industrial district. The ceremony was given more significance as the former Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, Chairperson of the Gaeseong Industrial District Committee, and the representatives from the forest organizations participated.
