The Korea Forest Service participated in the 12th Korea-China Free Trade Agreement Negotiation (Korea-China FTA), held from 14th to 18th of July, in Daegu, Republic of Korea. The Korea-China FTA, which has been taking place every two months since May 2012, is targeting to conclude all negotiation within this year.

In the forestry part, the negotiation has made some progress in the Economic Cooperation chapter, since both parties are committed to reach an agreement with regard to most of paragraphs. For other chapters, such as Trade in Goods, the Korea Forest Service is working on curbing tariff elimination for the major import products so called highly sensitive lists.
