Age class distribution of Korean forests (2004)

DATE : 2005-06-29

HITS : 1012

The Korean forests were vastly deforested in the mid-20th century especially by the Korea War. To rehabilitate the devastated land, large-scale greening projects were implemented since 1972. Consequently, Korean forest stands are relatively young in need of forest tending activities.
