Joint Research for Conserving Biodiversity of Forest Resources
The Korea National Arboretum and the Institute of Ecology and Biological Resources (IEBR) of the Viet Nam Academy of Science and Technology signed the MOU in 2016 to develop scientific-technical cooperation in conserving plant biodiversity. The Korea National Arboretum conducted a survey in Phia Oac-Phia Den of the nature reserve zone in Cao Bang Province, Viet Nam and collected DNA samples including Ranunculus cantoniensis and Schizophragma molle including biodiversity information of indigenous plants under this four-year project for 2016~2019.
Results derived from this project will be used to develop useful plants, and improve and conserve biodiversity on tropical plants.
