Joint Research on Forest Microorganism Resources

The two-phased joint project (1st for 2012~2014 and 2nd for 2015~2017) between the National Institute of Forest Science (NIFoS) and Moravian Museum aims to propagate and conserve native forest microorganisms like mushrooms capable of leaf litter decomposition and conduct a bio-geographical study. Already newly found native mushrooms have been publicly announced. Base on this, NIFoS plans to parcel out these forest microorganisms and provide the basic data to the related industry and researchers in Korea.
