Yongmun Mountain
It had originally been called Mijisan (Mt.). But the name was changed to 'Yongmunsan (Mt.)' since the Joseon dynasty was founded and the first King Yi acceded to the throne. Since the summit (1,157m) is prohibited to enter, a detour trail is used to ascend the summit. Ascending a steep uphill along the path of the valley on the left of Yongmunsa (Temple), you can reach the top of ridgeline. It is 2km from Yongmunsa and takes about an hour. Uphill hike trail is divided on top of the ridgeline. If you want a shorter trail, you can take the north path of the ridgeline to reach the 920-meter Hill and then descend along the valley to reach Yongmunsa. The second trail is where you can look around Sangwonsa (Temple) and the site of Yunpiram (Temple) through the western valley from the ridgeline.
