We sincerely welcome all of you to our website.

Our Eastern Regional Office of Forest Service has a jurisdiction of 388,000 ha, has various forest ecosystems across Goseong to the north, Taebaek and Yeongwol to the south, and is a forest administrative service that plays a key role in forest management in Korea with Baekdudaegan as its central axis.

It has the best forest resources in the country, including Daegwallyeong Geumgang Pine Tree Luxury Forest, Daegwallyeong Special Forest, Gariwangsan Mountain's natural broad-leaved forests, Yukbaeksan deciduous pine complex in Samcheok, and Manggyeongdaesan strobe pine forest in Yeongwol, as well as providing green forest welfare services to more than 450,000 people through forest welfare infrastructure such as Daegwallyeong Healing Forest, Forest Information Center, National Mountain Museum, and National Mountain School.

The employees of the Eastern Regional Office of Forest Service are doing their best today to recreate our forests as a key resource for the national economy and people's lives with the vision of "economic forests where jobs come out," "welfare forests enjoyed by everyone," and "ecological forests of people and nature.“
